How it works

Your valves only speak Bluetooth. HappyPlant gives them the internet — on-demand control and visibility from anywhere, and, if you connect your Hydrawise schedule, a system that makes the schedule’s intent become real water and tells you the truth about it afterward.

The path of a watering

    A watering is asked for — by you, from anywhere, or by your schedule.

    Tap Run on any valve from wherever you are — SF, while the valves are in LA — or connect your Hydrawise schedule (optional) and HappyPlant watches each zone’s watering windows for you.

    A bridge carries the run to the valve.

    Small bridges placed around your property connect to your NODE-BT valves over Bluetooth. Coverage is redundant by design: if one bridge is busy or offline, another in range carries the run, and adding a bridge simply extends reach and resilience.

    A late start still gets the full watering.

    If a valve connects eight minutes into a twenty-minute window, it still gets its full twenty minutes. HappyPlant tracks what every zone is still due and keeps at it until it’s delivered — a short run never gets silently shrugged off.

    The valve’s own log settles the books.

    After each run, HappyPlant reads the valve’s internal run log — the hardware’s own account of what actually happened — and compares it with the schedule. Scheduled vs. delivered, per zone, per day.

    When something’s wrong, your phone knows first.

    A zone that should be watering and isn’t, a valve that came up short, a bridge that dropped offline, a valve refusing its passcode — each sends a push alert to your phone that says what’s actually wrong and what to check, not a generic red dot. You’re hundreds of miles away; the point is you don’t have to wonder.

What if the internet dies mid-watering?

Nothing floods. Every run is sent to the valve with a fixed run time the valve’s own timer enforces — even if the cloud, your WiFi, and every bridge disappear at the worst possible moment. The system is built so that its worst failure mode is a zone finishing its scheduled watering and stopping. And the bridges keep themselves up to date on their own — no ladder, no truck roll.
